Keys shared a video of her son playing the piano on stage on her Instagram account last week when she performed in Mannheim, Germany.
Keys noted how Egypt had been asking her to perform on stage alone and how confident he was in front of the 17,000 people.
“Egy, we are so proud of you!!! This is crazy!! He’s been asking me to go on stage every show, and me being in mama bear mode, I’m thinking…. “Is it to much? To many people,” Keys said. “Is now the time? Should he practice more??” This guy gets on the stage as if there wasn’t 17,000 people out there and just smashes!! All confidence, all smiles, all natural!!! Wow! I’m blown away!! And Mannheim, Germany, brought that ENERGY tonight!!!!!!! We love you young king! You’re literally unstoppable!! Drop some hearts in the chat for EGY!!!!!!”
Swizz Beatz also shared his son’s first performance on his Instagram page, with various videos from the sold-out concert, including his youngest son, Genesis, 8. Egypt’s bravery was lauded by Swizz, who called it an amazing night for the Dean family.
“Tonight was amazing, Dean family love wowwwwwww,” Swizz said. “Egypt hit the Big stage on Mama’s world tour what a brave King. @aliciakeys, you’re on another level gheeeezzzzzzuzzzzzz Congrats to Mama & Egy SOLD OUT!!!!”
Several Twitter users commended the young prodigy for his bravery and extraordinary talent after the viral video.
During the four-minute performance, Egypt’s first piece was “il vento d’oro” from the soundtrack of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, a famous Japanese anime.
In addition to “il vento d’oro,” he performed “Merry Go Round of Life” from Howl’s Moving Castle, a 2004 Japanese animated fantasy film and the Game of Thrones opening theme song.
Egypt performed with his mother for the first time at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards, accompanying her as she sang “Raise a Man.”
We look forward to experiencing and witnessing more of Egypt’s impeccable talent.
