Edem, the Ghanaian rapper, has revealed why he was absent from the list of celebrities that contributed money to Davido on his birthday.
It may be recalled that on his birthday, Nigerian singer Davido delivered a list of Ghanaian musicians with a request that they donate money so that he could secure his Rolls Royce at the port.
Edem was joined by Medikal, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and other musicians. Some of the musicians reportedly made financial contributions, but Edem was unable to do so.
When he was told of Davido’s demand, he stated he was in Ada to make a music video.
Edem added that he felt driven to help his fellow Keta tribesmen who had lost their houses due to a horrific tidal surge that displaced over 3,000 people.
He went on to say that his team believed it was more important to help the victims of the Keta Tidal Waves than to help Davido.
Edem joked that when he contributes GHC 10,000 to the general public in January next year, he will “mafia” all those who insulted him for being destitute since he couldn’t contribute to Davido’s donation.
He stated that he has a list of various Twitter agenda men’s usernames and that he will not send them momo unless they submit their phone numbers for assistance.
