Majority Caucus in Parliament are calling on Ghanaians to disregard any decision taken during the heated Budget debate yesterday November 26th.

To a statement released after the budget brouhaha, the Caucus argued that the speaker’s decision that 137 members have the power to take a final decision on the budget is not in line with the constitution.

Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, Majority leader in Ghana’s Parliament.

They further argued that the constitution requires at least 138 members of Parliament to vote on a final decision therefore the wild speculation of the 2022 budget being rejected is null.

The statement also revealed the Majority Caucus made a request to the Minister of Finance to reconsider certain policies includes in the budget.
